SUPER STAR MAHESH BABU STARRING AAGADU REVIEW...

Super Star, Mahesh Babu starring 'AAGADU' movie has released today which is considered as the main competition to the already successfully running 'POWER' starrer Ravi Teja. The film, Aagadu is directed by Srinu Vaitla who already directed Mahesh in the movie, 'Dookudu'. So, having a look into the review, we have to get into the story first.........

STORY:

The movie starts with the childhood of Shankar(Mahesh) who is an orphan and the adoption of Shankar by Rajendra Prasad who is a Police. Due to the problems created by local goons in Bokka Patnam, Police compromises to those goons and in that situation, Shankar enters into the Bokka Patnam as CI. Dealing the case file about Damu(Sonu Sood) who is the reason for all those problems(about the project which is not good for nature as well as the health of the people), Shankar happens to know about the reason of his brother's death, which happens to be Damu. Has Shankar succeded in stopping the project and has he avenged his brother's death is the story of the movie, Aagadu.

PLUS POINTS:

Mahesh Babu's glamor and as well as his performance is as usual a plus point to the film. Coming to the milky beauty Tamaanna's performance, she is up to the character with no scanty feeling. Also, the pair looks cool on the screen. Coming to the Rajendra Prasad, Nasar, Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali, everybody did well in their characters. Brahmanandam is another main plus point to the film, with whose presence, the movie made it's second half. Shruti Haasan's item number made audience go crazy in the theaters. Also, Brahmanandam's climax scene went viral. Technically, cinema is better when compared to all other departments.

MINUS POINTS:

Story is the main draw back of the film. The plot of the story is no where interesting, which goes in a routine way. Thaman's music is soulless except for the theme song. Also, the making of songs weren't bothered about with that sort of music. Fans, those who expected dance moves from Mahesh after 1 Nenokkadine, are completely disappointed. Another minus point is the dialogues.  Audience felt bore with the non ending dialogues from the characters in the movie. The use of stories of various other movies of Mahesh in the film really made audience feel bore. Simply, non stop talking characters you have ever seen in a movie. Direction department literally failed to keep the movie in track. Even though Srinu Vaitla who already directed Mahesh in Dookudu and made it a success, failed to meet the audience's expectations. He applied the same tactics of Dookudu in the film, Aagadu which made audience feel that the movie is similar to Dookudu. The usage of Brahmanandam's character resembles Dookudu. First half is completely boring with the over usage of dialogues and second half resembles Dookudu which failed to hold the audience in their seats.

CONCLUSION:

To have a simple overview, the movie hasn't made it's path to the success, remained as a routine commercial movie. After 1 Nenokkadine, Mahesh Babu continued his flop track with Aagadu. The over usage of punch dialogues and the shade of Dookudu with no proper story plot made the movie flop.
OVERALL RATING:   2.25/5.0
